Victor A. Fabano, 91 of Wyckoff passed away on Thursday, March 16, 2023. Born and raised in New York City, NY. He joined the Navy in 1951 and served for 4 years on the USS Mount Baker.
Vic started his career as a salesman at Industrial Acoustics in New York City. He then went on to work at Westfield Sheet Metal in Kenilworth and finished his working career at X-Ray Imaging in Wyckoff.
Vic loved music, especially playing his harmonica. He was a member of the Garden State Harmonica Club where he served as president. He loved the outdoors and was an avid fisherman and hunter.
Vic was a loving husband, father, and grandfather; committed to caring for his family, loved ones, and friends.
Vic is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Marie; his adoring children Vincent and his wife Amy, Victor and his wife Pamela and Lori and her husband Tim, and his grandchildren Michael, Richard, Eric, Andrea, Ryan and Victoria. He is also survived by his brother Richard and his wife Cecyl and sister-in-law Jean. Vic was predeceased by his brother Bob.
Visitation is from 2:00 to 6:00pm on Sunday, March 19 at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, www.vpfh.com, 257 Godwin Ave, Wyckoff, NJ 07481.
Funeral mass is 10:00am on Monday, March 20 at the St. Elizabeth Church, 700 Wyckoff Ave, Wyckoff, NJ. Interment will follow at the Maryrest Cemetery in Mahwah.
