Adrianna Walker had a gravitational pull on all those who loved her.
And if her life could have been as long as the depth of that pull, we wouldn’t be announcing that on March 8th, 2026, she left this world behind after just thirty seven years. In her shadow remains her parents, Deborah and Mark Walker, her sister and brother-in-law, Danielle and Scott Craig, their children, Diana Rose and Alexandra, her brother and brother-in-law, David and Tanner Walker-Hartsock, her uncle and aunt, Jeff and Teri Walker, her cousins, Jeff Jr. and Melissa, her aunt, Dawn Barbieri, and her grandmother, Alice Schmalfeldt.
Adrianna’s spirit was so pure, it can be felt in the simplest of joys. It was who she was: the warmest light, the gentlest breeze, the softest touch.
A long drive with the windows down and music on made her complete. A dinner that her Mom made, she was complete. When her brother visited from California, complete. “You know me, Mom, I don’t need anything,” when asked what she wanted for her birthday. She held those traditions and holidays sacred, arriving first and with the least expectation, to be there was enough. She loved the pleasure of her favorite sweatpants, finding something special on sale, and bringing gifts to others, remembering the tiniest things you shared in passing. There is nobody whose heart could hold more than hers.
She was selfless in ways that, if all humans were, we would not know cruelty or pain at the hands of others. The love she had for her family was at the core of that gravitational force. So tremendous, that without her here to anchor it, we are achingly unmoored, trying to find our ground again.
Like all humans, she was not without her struggles and her family all fought to share in that weight, to show her that hope refracted through darkness like sunlight on the ocean that she loved so much. She didn’t have the life she deserved. In her place, we carry this injustice, granting her freedom and beautiful, unbridled peace.
We will follow her pull to our ends.
Adrianna volunteered at the Ramapo-Bergen Animal Refuge; in lieu of flowers, the family asks you to consider a donation in her name.
