Agnes "Sylvia" Vitulano of Wyckoff, NJ, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at the age of 90. She was born and lived in New York City before meeting her husband and moving to Hoboken, then to Weehawken, where they were longtime residents and raised their six children.
Sylvia, a strong, no-nonsense person was a devoted wife and mother who enjoyed cooking, baking, shopping and lived life her way.
She is predeceased by her loving husband of sixty-one years Orazio, "Ray" Vitulano and her sister Helen. Sylvia is survived by her six children: Tommy Vitulano (Maritza), Diana Cipriani (Glenn), Christopher Vitulano (Ruth), Linda Vitulano (Alberto), Nora Vitulano and Karen Vitulano-Salzman (Lonny); eleven grandchildren: Christopher C., Christopher V., Jacqueline, Brandon, Tommy Jr., Samantha, Chloe, Briana, Ian, Celine and Madison and three great grandchildren. Sylvia is also survived by her brothers Joseph, Florian and Reginald.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 10, 2021 from 9:00 - 10:30 a.m. at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, (vpfh.com), 257 Godwin Ave., Wyckoff. The Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Elizabeth's Church, 700 Wyckoff Ave., Wyckoff. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Mausoleum in North Arlington. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Agnes’ memory may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38148.
