Albert W. Borduin

Albert W. Borduin, 71, passed away surrounded by family on May 5, 2022. Al was born in Paterson, NJ. He resided in Franklin Lakes for most of his life. He was a graduate of Eastern Christian High School and Newark College of Engineering. Al was predeceased by his parents, Albert and Levina, and his daughter, Shay Nicole. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Karen, his children, Christopher (Melissa), Kimberly Hoernig (Micah), Katherine Mallimo (Salvatore), Craig (Kristen), Kassandra, Corey, Chanel, Cindy and Chantilly, his grandchildren, Lance Corporal Joshua (Tara), Isaac, Caleb, Allison, Chloe, August, Charles, Elliot, Zachary, and Xavier, his sister, Judith, and numerous nieces and nephews. Al and Karen welcomed over 50 foster children over the course of 35 years. He was the owner of Borduin Company, Inc, and a member of the Hawthorne Master Plumbers Association. He was also a member of Cedar Hill CRC. He preferred to remain behind the scenes, helping in any way he could. He was an elder, deacon, cadet counselor, went on various mission trips where he helped with construction and was on the audio/visual committee for Cedar Hill CRC. He loved fishing, snowmobiling, and watching Yankee games. Of all the things he loved, he loved vacationing with his family the most, especially at the family vacation home in Lake Pleasant, NY.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 14th from 10:00 - 12:00pm at the Cedar Hill Christian Reformed Church, 422 Cedar Hill Avenue, Wyckoff, NJ 07481 immediately followed by the funeral service at 12:00pm.
