Mangano, Albert Michael, age 101, of Franklin Lakes died August 29, 2022. Born in NYC, he was raised in the Bronx. Albert also lived in Closter, Cliffside Park, and West Milford. He was a teacher for the Dumont Public School System for many years, as well as a real estate broker with his own agency and a travel agent for Main Street Travel in Hackensack. Surviving is his daughter, Mary Ann Silberbauer and her husband, Gary, of Franklin Lakes. Also surviving are two of his grandchildren, Noelle Silberbauer of Franklin Lakes and Christian Silberbauer of Denver, CO, and three great-grandchildren, Marco Polakovic of Franklin Lakes, and Penelope and Canaan Jacobson of Waxhaw, NC (formerly of Midland Park). He was predeceased by his son Arthur Mangano in 1965, wife Mildred Mangano in 2015, and his granddaughter, Pia Silberbauer Jacobson in 2019. Visiting hours are Friday, September 23rd, 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM, at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, www.vpfh.com, 257 Godwin Ave, Wyckoff, NJ. Funeral Mass is on Saturday, September 24th, 10 AM at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, 25 Purdue Ave., Oakland, NJ. Interment at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, 10 Serpentine Rd, Tenafly, NJ following the mass.
