Obituary

Albert John Vinci (Al) of Mahwah NJ, formerly of the Township of Washington passed away peacefully at home on March 9, 2023. His devoted wife of almost 60 years, Gail, was at his side. Born Albert John Vinci on September 21, 1937 in Paterson, NJ to Jenni Vinci (nee Pantano) and Alberto Umberto Vinci.  Surviving, in addition to his wife Gail, are his beloved children, Trish Tully (Tim) of Andover, MA, John (Kathy) of Township of Washington, Charles of Long Beach Township, Kenneth (Amy) of Upper Saddle River. Also surviving is his beloved sister, Florence Santimauro of Haverford, Pa. For over thirty years, Al worked in New York City for Footlocker Inc. (formerly F.W. Later he consulted for Southpole USA under Kenny Khym, which he enjoyed immensely.

Al was a fan and active member of the Bergen Catholic High School community.  He served as president of its Touchdown club as well as coordinating many BC activities.   Al enjoyed spending time with family and friends at his second home at Lake Wallenpaupack , PA and recently on Long Beach Island.  Al loved most sports and enjoyed playing tennis and golf with his family and dear friends.  Most of all, Al enjoyed spending time with his family, usually with good food and/or in constant pursuit of the perfect hero sandwich, Hot Texas weiner or jelly donut.

A true gentleman who touched so many people through his generosity, compassion, and extreme work ethic.
