Alberta Jacobsen, from Fort Myers, Florida, and formerly of Wyckoff, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on April 18, 2025, at age 87, with her husband, Howard Jacobsen, by her side. She was born April, 25, 1937, in Orangetown, New York, to Josephine and Albert Chapman. In addition to her husband she is survived by her children James Jacobsen (Lori), of Islamorada, Florida, and Michael Jacobsen (Deborah), Sea Bright, New Jersey. She was predeceased by her son, Glenn Jacobsen (Melissa), of Essex, Connecticut, her sister, Barbara Greiner, Pequannock, New Jersey, and daughter-in-law Brenda Jacobsen, of Oakland, New Jersey. Her legacy lives on through her seven grandchildren, Kevin, Keith, Colleen, Christopher, Rachel, Trey and Trevor, and eight great-grandchildren, Morgan, Brennan, Gavin, Arlo, Eliza Grace, Christalie, Julian and Janiece. Alberta was a volunteer at The Depot in Midland Park, where she enjoyed decorating her room for the holidays, and she was known for her always-friendly personality, a beautiful smile and the delicious meatballs her family always insisted she make for dinner.
