Anastasia “Stacy” Symeonides, 85, of Hackensack, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 21, 2021. Born in New Brunswick, Stacy lived in Paramus since 1969 before moving to Hackensack two years ago.
She was a faithful Christian member of St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church in Wyckoff. She and her husband, Jeffrey, were one of the fifty founding family members of the church.
Stacy was a devoted wife and mother, who gave herself entirely for the benefit of her family. She will be remembered as a passionate and loving wife, mother, and grandmother who always brought joy and comfort to her family. Her constant smile will forever be missed.
Stacy is survived by her son, Dean and his wife Christina, cherished granddaughters Nicole and Marisa; her son Michael and his wife Rose, her sister Elaine Canellos and several nieces and nephews. Stacy was predeceased by her cherished and loving husband of 57 years, Jeffrey, in 2015.
The family will receive family & friends from 4 to 8 PM on Sunday, September 26, 2021 at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, www.vpfh.com, 257 Godwin Ave. Wyckoff, NJ. A Funeral Service will be held 10 AM on Monday, September 27, 2021 at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, 467 Grandview Avenue, Wyckoff, NJ. Interment will follow at the George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus.
