Andrew Boulos age 94 of Wayne, died peacefully surrounded by family on December 31, 2021.
Andrew is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Helen; his devoted daughters, Catherine and Mary; and his grandchildren, Stephanie, Matthew, Ariana, Gabriella, Salvatore, and Cassandra. Andrew is also survived by his sons in law, Sal, Jeff, and Andreas and many extended family members. Andrew's love of family was his world and his welcoming smile will be missed. He was predeceased by his sister Mary.
Andrew was born on June 16th, 1927 in Athens, Greece to Kalliopi and Mateo. He immigrated to the United States at the young age of 17 and was then drafted into the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany. He served as a Physican's Surgical Assistant. Andrew received the Army of Occupation Conduct Medal for his service to the Berlin Airlift. After returning home, Andrew attended and graduated from Ithaca College with a degree in physical therapy. He enjoyed a full career into his seventies and was known to say "He felt that he never worked a day in his life." because he loved his profession.
Andrew and his wife raised a family in Saddle Brook, eventually settling in Wayne, and enjoyed spending summers with relatives in the village of Chromonastiri, in Crete, Greece. He was very proud of his Hellenic Heritage. Andrew and his wife Helen were charter members of Saint Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church in Wyckoff.
A funeral service for Andrew will be held on Monday, January 10, 10:00 am at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, 467 Grandview Avenue, Wyckoff, NJ. Interment will take place at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
