Andrew J Lohr

LOHR, ANDREW J., “ANDY”, 86, passed away peacefully August 24, 2024, surrounded by his family. He married his high school sweetheart, Patricia. Together they had five children, Donna (Peter Cafone), Andrew (Allison), Nancy, and Bill (Jennifer). He was predeceased by his beloved son, Charles (Ali). He loved his nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

He was born on April 20, 1938 in Queens, NY. He was the son of Margaret Ruch and Charles Lohr. He is survived by his beloved sister, Joan Sweeney. He attended Brooklyn Prep and Villanova University .He was employed by IBM, retired after 30 years, and started his company, where he worked for another 30 years.

He was a faithful parishioner of St. Catharine Church, Glen Rock. He had many talents, too many to mention. He enjoyed helping others and spending time with his family. He was the best.

The family will receive relatives and friends  at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home in Wyckoff 257 Godwin Ave., Wyckoff, NJ  07481 on Tuesday, August 27 from 3:00 to 7:00pm. His Funeral Mass will be held at St. Catharine Church R.C.  905 S. Maple Ave. Glen Rock, NJ 07452  at 10:00am Wednesday, August 28. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to St. Catharine’s indicating donation is made in memory of Andrew Lohr.
