Our beloved mother and grandmother, Angela Ekroth, of Midland Park NJ passed away July 14, 2025 after a long hard battle with COPD. She was 83.
Born in Manhattan to Eleonora and Joseph Orsi, she was raised with a strong sense of family in Astoria Queens with her older brother Albert. After high school, she turned to modeling, where she gained an huge appreciation for fashion and beauty. That passion followed through her whole life. She surrounded herself with beautiful things and was sure to always have the perfect outfit, jewelry and make up! Angie later became a highly regarded administrative assistant and enjoyed a job in jewelry sales for many years. Her co workers still comment on her caring and compassionate demeanor. She was beautiful inside and out.
Angie adopted many dogs and cats through out her life, loving and spoiling every one the best that she could. Even as time would no longer allow for the demands of a dog or cat, she then adopted a hamster, who remained happily by her side for years! There was always love to be shared.
Angie is survived by her son- Thomas Ekroth and his long time partner, Patricia Puls, her daughter- Teresa Sabatini, son-in law- Christopher Sabatini, and her grandsons, Jake Sabatini (22) and Chase Sabatini (20) All of whom will never forget the love she brought to their lives.
Angela’s life will be honored on Tuesday, July 22nd at Vander Plaat Funeral Home in Wyckoff, NJ from 4pm to 8pm.
