Angelina Caselnova

Angelina Caselnova, age 94, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 14, 2025. Born in Brooklyn, New York, she had been a resident of Mahwah, New Jersey, since 1973.

Angelina was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend, known for her warmth, generosity, and love of family. She was an avid reader, an exceptional cook, and found great joy in hosting family gatherings. She was also a passionate reader, loved watching classic movies and British murder mysteries, and enjoyed crossword puzzles. Before retirement she worked at Sandvik in Fairlawn for 21 years. She worked as a health benefits administrator for many years
before dedicating herself to retirement.

She is survived by her loving children, Lisa Lasner, Matthew Caselnova, and Alan Caselnova. Angelina was predeceased by her beloved husband, Matthew Caselnova.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 19, from 4 PM to 8 PM at Vander Plaat Funeral Home, 257 Godwin Ave., Wyckoff, NJ.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, March 20, at 10 AM at St. Paul’s RC Church, 200 Wyckoff Avenue, Ramsey, New Jersey.

Interment will follow at Maryrest Cemetery and Mortuary, 770 Darlington Avenue, Mahwah, New Jersey, at the Mausoleum.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Angelina’s memory can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the American Diabetes Association.
