Ann Ruth Pecora

Ann was the first born child of Jacob and Rose Schnaars and she was followed by her brothers, Charles, John and  Richard and her sister Rosemarie.

Mom being the eldest was always looking out for her siblings' welfare.  This compassion for her family continued throughout her life as she raised her son Mark and daughter Gayle with husband William Pecora.

Ann also was employed by Duro Test corp in North Bergen NJ for over 30 years, while also caring for her family and nieces Roseann and Dawn.

Mom loved to play cards, dance and socialize with friends, but always was focused on our family’s welfare.

Mom was the matriarch of our family, as her parents and siblings all passed before her.  Even as her health was failing, mom had smiles on her face when visited by her children, grandchildren and great grandson, nieces and nephews and extended family. 

Mom, or Nana as she was known by all the children, is now resting peacefully in God’s arms reunited with our departed family members.

With all of our undying love, we all miss you.

Survived by Mark and Yolanda Pecora, Gayle and Robert Menist, Roseann Baglino, Dawn Caicedo, Charles and Joann Schnaars. Her grandchildren Ryan Caicedo, Eric and wife Amy Menist, Evan and his wife Danielle Menist, Nicole and her husband John Robert Thompson, and grandson Christopher Pecora.  Her great grandson Cole Thompson.

Visitation Tuesday 8/29/23 from 9:30AM-10:30AM at Vander Plaat Funeral Home 257 Godwin Ave. Wyckoff, NJ 07481.   Funeral Mass Tuesday 8/29/23 11:00 AM at St. Elizabeth's R.C Church, 700 Wyckoff Ave. Wyckoff, NJ 07481.  Interment Maryrest Cemetery, Mahwah.
