Anna P Cornett, 98, of Wyckoff, passed away on Saturday, March 13, 2021. Born in Yonkers, NY, Anna lived in Elmwood Park before moving to Wyckoff in 1965.
She was an Inspector for the Township of Wyckoff for 18 years until her retirement in 2001. Prior to that she was a legal secretary for 22 years with Anaconda. Anna was a member of the Wyckoff Branch of Valley Hospital and for many years a part of their Bridge Group. She was involved in several ministries at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Fair Lawn. These included singing in the Senior Choir as well as serving as President of the Dorcas Guild. She was an active participant in the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League; attending many local meetings and Conventions throughout the country. Anna loved her Wyckoff neighborhood and her wry sense of humor and twinkling eyes will be missed by her many friends who reside there.
She is survived by her sister-in-law Gloria Everett and her husband Russel along with her nephews Gregg and David Everett.
She was predeceased by her husband Robert Cornett and her sister Eleanor Dubiny.
Visiting hours are 10:00 to 11:30am on Wednesday the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, www.vpfh.com, 257 Godwin Ave. Wyckoff, NJ. Funeral Service is 11:30 am on Wednesday at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Kensico Cemetery in Valhalla, NY.
