Anthony "Tony" Leonard Macri Sr., 90, of Haledon, formerly of Wyckoff, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 9, 2025.
Born in Paterson, NJ, Tony spent 42 years in Wyckoff before settling in Haledon eight years ago.
A skilled mason contractor, Tony worked with several construction firms throughout his career, including as a partner in MOE Construction. He took great pride in the many structures he built over the years--from buildings and patios to fireplaces and stonework--leaving behind a legacy of craftsmanship that stands strong to this day.
Above all, Tony was a devoted husband and father who cherished time with his family. Whether gathering around the table for a good meal, rooting for his beloved New York Giants, or enjoying a day at the racetrack, he found joy in life’s simple pleasures and in the people he loved most. He especially treasured time spent with his large, extended family--including cousins, nieces, and nephews--whose presence brought him great happiness throughout his life.
Tony is survived by his three children: Michael (Mimi) Macri, Anthony Jr. (Megan) Macri, and Samantha (Luis) Contreras; and by his six grandchildren: Erin, Michael, Allison, Nicole, Grace, and Kate. He is also survived by his siblings, Alberta and Patricia.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 47 years, Kathleen, and by his siblings Charles ("Sonny"), Florence ("Sissy"), and Dorothy ("Dot").
