Anthony Romandetta, born on October 1, 1938, in New York City to Anthony and Clara, lived a remarkable life filled with love, laughter, and wisdom.
He attended The City College of New York, where he studied engineering, and went on to build a successful career with a number of manufacturing and technology companies. His intelligence, strong work ethic, and gift for understanding people made him admired by all who knew him.
The love of his life was his wife, Janet. Together they shared more than 65 years—59 of them as husband and wife—creating a family and a lifetime of cherished memories. He was the proud father of three sons: Stephen, from a previous marriage, and Scott and Danny with Janet.
Anthony was a larger-than-life presence. Known for his exceptional storytelling, quick wit, and endless one-liners, he could fill any room with laughter. He carried himself with dignity, class, and wisdom, and to many, he was like a father. He was always ready to welcome others with a seat at his table and a five-course Italian meal, shared with love and generosity.
He was predeceased by his parents, Anthony and Clara; his brother, Vincent (Jimmy) and sister, Lenore, and his beloved son, Danny. He is survived by his devoted wife, Janet; his sons Scott and Stephen, his grandchildren Sky, Eli, and Griffin; loving brother-in-law to Stephen Reusch, his beloved nephews, Stephen Reusch, Jr. & Ray, and nieces, Julie Romandetta and Claudia, and their families; many loving cousins; and countless friends who will miss him deeply.
Anthony’s memory will live on in the laughter he inspired, the stories he told, and the love he so generously gave.
