Antonio Joseph “Joe” Romano, 83, of Wyckoff passed away peacefully at home on Friday, November
26, 2021.
Joe was born in Gela, Sicily, to Alberto and Rocca Romano. He grew up as the oldest of eight brothers and
sisters, along with his cousins and close relatives. Much loved uncle to many nieces and nephews who remained
connected with him.
In his twenties he moved to the US and prior to retirement, he had been employed as an ACTWU union
machine operator for Trio Dye & Finishing, Inc.
Joe and his beloved wife, Josephine, enjoyed a beautiful life together for over 54 years. Joe is survived
by his loving wife Josephine, his devoted daughter, Maria “MariLu” and Brandon Francis; his devoted
son Alberto and wife Bettie, and cherished grandchildren: George, Brandon and Mia; who each filled
him with much joy and laughter.
Not only was he the leader of our family, he was selfless and an incredible human being who left his
mark on everyone he met. His light will continue to shine in each of us.
Joe faced his final journey with peace, courage, and an unwavering trust in God’s plan.
“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, and I have remained faithful.” 2 Timothy 4:7.
“Well done, my good and faithful servant.” Matthew 25:21
