--Arlene Anne Landzettel (nee Parodi), age 82, of Mahwah, passed away peacefully with her sister by her side on January 17, 2026.
Born on February 9, 1943 to Renato and Irma (nee Troiani) Parodi, Arlene lived in Hawthorne, NJ for many years, until moving to Mahwah in 1988.
Arlene graduated from Hawthorne High School and worked at Prospect Park National Bank, Citizens Bank in Fair Lawn, and Landzettel & Sons in Fair Lawn. She loved the beach, traveling to the Islands and cruises, and was loving, caring, and devoted to her family. She will be sadly missed by her sisters, family and friends.
Arlene was the beloved wife of the late Robert Landzettel (2023). Cherished sister of Blanche Candage and devoted caregiver for many years to her sister, Joyce Parodi, both of Wyckoff. Also survived by sisters-in-law, Betty Kasperski and Gail Landzettel, several nieces and a nephew, and many cousins and dear friends. Predeceased by her step-daughter, Linda Landzettel (2012) and her brothers-in-law, John Candage (2023), Don Landzettel (2020), and Steve Kasperski (2018).
Family will receive friends on Friday, January 23, from 10 to 11:30 am at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, 257 Godwin Ave., Wyckoff, NJ, followed by a Prayer Service at 11:30 am. Interment will follow at Christ the King Cemetery in Franklin Lakes.
