Belina Ang-Kalkanis Obituary

In Loving Memory of Belina Lim Ang

It is with heavy hearts and fond remembrance that we announce the passing of our beloved mama, Belina Lim Ang, a woman whose tenacity and strength of will were matched only by her undeniable charm and infectious joy. Belina, a tiny bundle of happiness, touched the lives of everyone around her with her selfless acts of kindness and unwavering dedication to the communities she held dear.

Born with an insatiable curiosity and a thirst for knowledge, Belina was known from the very beginning as the most studious person one could ever dream of being. Her commitment to education set the foundation for a life devoted to constant self-improvement and the betterment of those around her.

Belina's love knew no bounds, extending beyond her immediate family to embrace the wider communities that shaped the lives of her children, George, and Daphne. She was the embodiment of a caring and nurturing spirit, always going above and beyond to lend a helping hand without seeking acknowledgment or appreciation.

She extended her benevolence not only to her family but also to her community, country, and on a broader scale, contributing significantly to cybersecurity at the federal level. Belina's commitment to service extended beyond national boundaries, where she dedicated herself to securing the digital landscape and mentoring the younger generation in our country.

Her wisdom, imparted with grace and sincerity, guided her children through life. Belina instilled in George and Daphne the values of gratitude, respect, and appreciation for everything and everyone that contributed to their journey. Her mantra, "Try your best because that is all you can do," not only served as a guiding light but also encapsulated her belief in continuous self-improvement. Belina instilled in George and Daphne the importance of not only giving their best in every endeavor but also striving to better themselves along the way. This philosophy became a cornerstone in their lives, encouraging them not only to pursue excellence but also to embark on a journey of constant personal growth.

In addition to her enduring wisdom, Belina left behind a treasury of sayings that her daughter, Daphne, has memorized by heart. As a worrier, Daphne found comfort in her mama's timeless advice to take life one step at a time and refrain from excessive tears, as Belina believed in the power of resilience and perseverance.  "Take it one step at a time," she would say, "and don't cry too much; what good would come from that? We must remember to keep going and work hard because that is what good people do." These words, imbued with the essence of Belina's practical wisdom, continue to serve as a source of strength and guidance for Daphne and all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Belina Ang was not only a pillar of strength but also the kindest, tiniest, and most huggable lady that the world was blessed with. Her warmth, generosity, and loving nature, coupled with her enduring wisdom, will forever be etched in the hearts of those fortunate enough to have known her.

As we bid farewell to this remarkable woman, let us celebrate the legacy of Belina—a mother, a friend, and a beacon of light in our lives. May her spirit of kindness, resilience, and practical wisdom continue to inspire us all.

We are happy that you finally get to rest with peace and quiet. ~ Daphne, George, and Papa
