Bogumila J. Jaksinski (Jackie) of Wyckoff NJ, formerly Hackensack, NJ passed away peacefully with her daughter at her side on April 5, 2025.
She was born in Rzeszow, Poland on March 27, 1937. After living in Poland for a few years she spent many years in Vienna, Austria. In her teen years, her family moved to Lancaster, England where she eventually moved to London and met her future husband, Zdzislaw. They wed in 1962 and in 1969 had their one and only child, Monica.
In 1973, the family moved to America to be closer to her husband’s family who had immigrated here. They bought a house in Hackensack, NJ where Bogumila lived until 2024 when she moved in with her daughter in Wyckoff. Bogumila and Zdzislaw were affectionately called Jackie and Jack Jaksinski to all their close friends.
Jackie was a devoted mother to Monica, her pride and joy. She exhibited great strength and courage through the years and in particular after the passing of her beloved husband in 1980. She had a great love for gardening and could be found always out in her garden, but her greatest love was her granddaughter.
Jackie was preceded in death by her husband Zdzislaw “Jack” Jaksinski, her parents and four siblings and is survived by her daughter Monica and her husband Roy Bloch and her one and only grandchild, her granddaughter Catherine who was born one day after her birthday. She was an amazing Mother and Nana and will be missed greatly.
A Gathering of Family and Friends will occur on April 9th from 4-7pm at VanderPlaat Funeral Home in Wyckoff, NJ. Burial is private.
