Bridget "Bridie" Rooney

Bridie Rooney was born in Ireland on April 22, 1930. Now 96 years of age. Lived in New York City until 1967 when she moved to Waldwick, NJ. Bridie worked as a waitress at LC's Woodhouse in Allendale for 12 years. She lived a full life surrounded by love, family, and long lasting friendships.

Passed on June 15, 2026, Bridie was the wife of Joe Rooney and devoted mother of 4 children, Marian Himmelhoch, Kathy Hillringhouse and husband Jeff, Eileen Dinice and husband John, and John Rooney and wife Jill. She was a proud and loving grandma to 8 grandchildren, Barry, Sean, Brian, Ryan, Brandon, Colin, Kyle and Jack.  Joe predeceased Bridie in 2009. Bridie was a long time parishioner of St. Lukes Church.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday 10:00 am at St. Luke's RC Church, 340 Franklin Tpk, Ho Ho Kus, NJ 07423.  Inurnment will follow at St. Luke's Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made in Bridie's name  to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
