Brittney Sarah Michaels

Brittney Sarah Michaels, 32, of Waldwick, NJ, entered into eternal life to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus, on Thursday, November 18, 2021. Born in Pequannock, she lived in Pompton Plains before moving to Waldwick, 30 years ago.

Brittney graduated Waldwick High School Class of 2007 and furthered her education at St Thomas Aquinas College and the University of Phoenix, where she achieved a degree in Early Childhood Ed. She worked as a nanny and care giver where her beautiful, compassionate heart blessed many children. Recently, she worked as an Administrative Assistant for Buckingham Care & Rehabilitation Center in Norwood, where she not only contributed to running all aspects of the facility but made everyone feel welcomed, acknowledged and loved.

To know Brittney was to know sunshine! She was one of the most beautiful "lovable, huggable" souls who had the most generous spirit. She was the Queen of silly faces and Her shining light could brighten even the darkest of times.

In her early years, she liked running, cheering and being a member of the tennis team.  She was devoted to dancing, where she exhibited her talent for 15 years at the Robin Horneffs School of Dance. She passed those dance moves on to her brothers, sister and cousins.

She was an avid music lover who would sing at the top of her lungs while enjoying any song with an uplifting dance beat. She was the self-appointed President of the Jonathan Soul fan club.

A great passion of Brittney’s, a.k.a “Chef B”, was cooking her signature dishes and baking those scrumptious chocolate chip cookies where her main ingredient was always Love. She eluded kindness and care for those in need and would help out in any ministerial way. She volunteered at food packing events, was involved with Emergence Church and provided meals and treats for the elderly.

She cherished family gatherings and loved going for walks with her dog.

Her happy place was at the beach with her toes in the sand, sun on her face and lemon juice and sea breeze in her hair. She enjoyed a lifetime of summers in Ocean City, Maryland which always held a special place in her heart and “Beach Camp” with her aunts, mom, sister and cousins.

Brittney is survived by her parents William and Cheryl Michaels of Waldwick, NJ, her brothers Corey, Jessey and Ayindé and sister Emmey Rae; her paternal grandfather William and maternal grandmother Marge; uncles: Robert, Glenn and Bobby; aunts: Laurie, Mary Clare and Tricia; cousins: Tyler, Carley, Amy Joy, Casey, Christy Anna, Bobby, Aaron, Evan and Madison and her beautiful dog Koda. She was greeted at heaven’s gate by her paternal grandmother Betty, maternal grandfather Bob and dogs Zoe and OC.
