Catherine " Cathy" Lauricella
Obituary
Cathy was born in Paterson, NJ daughter of the late John and Jennie Foresta. She is the beloved wife of John and adored mother of two sons, Anthony, and Christopher as well as their spouses, Shauna and Mianmian. She is the caring and doting Nonna to Giuliana, Gianpaolo and Angelina.
John, Anthony, and Chris were at her side when she passed giving and gaining solace knowing that she was at finally at peace. She grew up in Waldwick, NJ and graduated from Midland Park High School and St. Vincent School of Pediatric Nursing. Cathy worked at the Barnert Hospital in Paterson and spent the majority of her work career caring for and interacting with children while serving as a Principal’s Assistant in the Cumberland Valley and Bucks County school districts in Pennsylvania. After retiring in 2012, Cathy continued to work at Cold Spring Elementary School as a volunteer helping students improve their writing skills. She loved spending time in her garden, reading books with her book club and chatting with her friends and neighbors.
She had a smile that lit up the world and was loved by all who met her.

The Gathering of Family and Friends will be on Saturday, June 25, 2022, at 10:30am to 12:30pm at Vander Plaat Funeral Home, vpfh.com, 257 Godwin Avenue Wyckoff, NJ 07481
