Charles Emmett

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Charles Emmett. He was 88 years old and passed away peacefully at his home in Wyckoff on March 6, 2021, surrounded by loving family.

Charles is survived by his wife Beverly, son Douglas (Janet) and daughter Sue Oliver (Paul) and six grandchildren: Megan (Matt) and Steven Oliver, Robert and Jennifer Emmett, Nicole and Heather Emmett. He was predeceased by his son Jeffrey.

Charles retired from New Jersey Bell after a life time career. He served in the Army from 1953 - 1955 and was an active member of the Midland Park VFW #7086. Charles was an active, lifetime member of the Midland Park United Methodist Church.

He enjoyed vacationing with his family down the shore at Ocean City, NJ. Charles also enjoyed time with his wife, family and friends in Venice, FL.
The Emmett family would like to acknowledge his friends and neighbors in Wyckoff for the past 65 years and to express their gratitude to all nurses, aids and doctors from the The Valley Hospital for their excellent care.

The family will host an intimate, socially-distanced memorial service on March 11, 2021 at 11:00 AM at the Midland Park United Methodist Church, 269 Godwin Ave., Midland Park, NJ  07432.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Charles' name may be made to the Midland Park United Methodist Church.
