Charles Galluzzo

Charles Galluzzo, age 56, of Clifton, NJ died unexpectedly on Monday, May 8, 2023 at his residence.  Charles was born in San Jose, CA and had been a lifelong resident of Clifton.

Charles was a licensed funeral director for more than 30 years and was employed with the Vander Plaat Funeral Home of Wyckoff and was a former member of the Bergen County Funeral Directors Association.

He is survived by his loving wife, Lesli Galluzzo of Clifton, his three children, Trevor Galluzzo and his partner Kris Garrand of Denver, CO, Nicholas Galluzzo and Paige Galluzzo both of Clifton, NJ.  Charles is also survived by his parents, Gene and Joan (nee Purzycki) Galluzzo of Indian Rocks Beach, FL.  Also surviving are numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; Ann Purzycki, Diane Fanroth, Jeanne Ambrogio, Pat Purzycki, Doria Galluzzo, Amelia and Lou Dahdah, Denise Ambrogio, Frank Ambrogio and Colleen Rafferty, George Dahdah, Stephen and Bobbi Dahdah, Louis Dahdah, Maria and Tony Camello, and John and Heather Fattorusso. He also leaves behind his best fur friend, Kasey.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 14, 2023, from 1:00 – 5:00 PM at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home,  www.vpfh.com, 257 Godwin Ave. Wyckoff, NJ.  Prayers will begin at 9:00 AM on Monday, May 15, 2023, at the funeral home followed by a Funeral Mass, 10:00 AM at St. Elizabeth’s RC Church, 700 Wyckoff Avenue, Wyckoff, NJ 07481. Interment will take place at Laurel Grove Cemetery, Totowa, NJ.
