Charlotte Etta Wallerius (Nee Maynard) peacefully passed away on the evening of January 11, 2024 in Hackensack, NJ. Charlotte was born in Albany, New York on January 6 to Julia and Raoul Maynard. She was raised in Paterson, NJ and resided in Hackensack, New Jersey and Laurel, New York her entire life. Charlotte and the love of her life Fred loved the City and their second home on the North Shore of Long Island. It was a place where they enjoyed just spending time in each other’s company. After high school Charlotte was a graduate of Sherwood Secretarial School secretarial in Paterson and soon thereafter went to work in the New York financial industry eventually rising to become a Vice-President at Chemical Bank, in the heart of the world’s financial center, a feat no one who knew her was at all surprised by. For many years, Charlotte and her husband, Fred, were the owners of Fountains Associates, Inc., of Wyckoff, New Jersey. She was pre-deceased by her husband Fred in 2015, who she missed terribly and is now reunited with and undoubtedly having a drink and catching up. She is survived by a sister, Nancy Paul of Colorado, and other close family members. A Memorial Service celebrating Charlotte’s life is being planned for a future date. Arrangements are by the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, www.vpfh.com, 257 Godwin Avenue, Wyckoff, New Jersey 07481. As an expression of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations in Charlotte’s memory may be made to the American Red Cross, P.O. Box 37839, Boone, IA 50037-0839.
