Cheryl Leegwater

Cheryl Leegwater, 75, of Lavallette and formerly of Ridgewood, died on Saturday, October 9, 2021. Born and raised in Midland Park, Cheryl and her husband Bartel raised their family in Ridgewood before retiring to Lavallette 2 years ago.

Cheryl is survived by her husband Bartel, her children Bart and his wife Gretchen, Sheri and her husband Jerry Mercadante, Ryan and his wife Alissa, and Tara and her partner Don Roper; her grandchildren: Hunter and his wife Renee, Chase, Hannah and Sean as well as her step granddaughters Madison, Leah and Emma.  She is also survived by her siblings William and his wife Vicky and Jane and her husband Roger.     

Visiting hours are 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 pm on Thursday at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home,  www.vpfh.com, 257 Godwin Ave. Wyckoff, NJ. 

A Funeral Service will be held 10:00 am on Friday at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home.  Interment will follow at Wyckoff Reformed Church Cemetery.
