Christina Savitt Obituary

Christina Lee Savitt — lovingly known to her family and closest friends as “Crissy” — went home to be with her Savior on June 22, 2025, surrounded by her family and anchored in her steadfast faith. She was 55 years old.

Born on December 27, 1969, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Christina was the cherished daughter of Bradley Williams and the late Candace “Candy” Williams (née Thompson), who also passed from cancer at the age of 46. Christina grew up alongside her brother Tim and sister Sarah, and her upbringing in Minnesota shaped the warmth and groundedness that would come to define her life.

She met the love of her life, Dan Savitt, in high school in 1987. Their relationship, rooted in friendship and faith, blossomed into a lifelong partnership. They were married on July 11, 1992, beginning a 32-year journey marked by fierce devotion, grace, shared purpose, and unconditional love.

Together, Christina and Dan raised six children: Jonah (Alexis), Daniel, Elijah (Kaylee), Kareema, Isaiah (Brittany), and Josiah (Melia). Christina was a loving mother to each of them — both biological and adopted — nurturing them with deep intentionality and faith. She delighted in her growing family, especially as a grandmother (“Mimi”) to Samuel and Owen, who brought her profound joy and laughter in her final years.

A gifted mentor and trusted friend to many, Christina had an extraordinary ability to make others feel seen, known, and loved. She poured into the lives of family and friends across seasons and distances — her presence was calming, her counsel wise, and her love unshakable. One friend wrote,

“You are genuinely one of the kindest people I have ever met, and your energy is so pure and uplifting.”

Another shared,

“I love talking about Scripture and the things of God with you. You are truly my soul sister, and I am forever grateful for the gift of YOU.”

At the core of Christina’s life was her unshakable faith in Jesus Christ. Her walk with God was not only personal but deeply visible — in her words, her choices, her parenting, her encouragement, and her strength through suffering. Her life verse, Acts 20:24, guided her every step:

“However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me — the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace.”

Christina ran her race with courage, humility, and radiant grace. Her legacy is one of love, faithfulness, and quiet strength — and it lives on in the family and lives she shaped.

She is survived by her husband Dan, their six children, two grandchildren, her father Brad, and her siblings Tim and Sarah. She is now reunited in peace with her beloved mother Candy.
