Constantine A Kominos

Constantine A. Kominos, 61, of Mahwah, NJ, passed away too early surrounded by his family on January 17,2022.

Constantine aka Costa is survived by his wife Zografia of 34 years, sons Arthur Kominos and Nicholas Kominos, daughter Alexandra Kominos, Mother Stratoula Kominos (Yia-Yia). He is survived also by aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family. Constantine was a loving father, husband, and friend to all.

Constantine loved sports, music, cars, spending time with loved ones and volunteering at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church. He worked in restaurants 20 years and in the Automotive Industry for 15+ years but was forced to give up the career he loved due to his health concerns. He spent his free time watching various sports games live and on TV; and he played baseball and soccer growing up. Costa was always there to help relatives and friends. Whether it was having someone to talk to, offering life advice and making everyone laugh and smile. Costa was a member of the St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church in Wyckoff, NJ since he was a young child. His parents Arthur and Stratoula were one of the founding families of the church. St. Nicholas is a second home to Costa and his family. Constantine was a member of the Ramapo Ahepa Chapter 453 for over 15 years. His family will continue to live on his legacy.

A special thank you to the health care workers at Valley Hospital in Ridgewood for their loving care and support during his final days and the health care workers at Rutgers University Hospital. Also, the family would like to extend their sincerest gratitude towards Vander Plaat Funeral Home for being very accommodating and understanding during this difficult time.

Visitation will be from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, 467 Grandview Avenue Wyckoff, NJ on Thursday January 20th, 2022. Funeral services for Constantine will be following the visitation at 11:00 am January 20th, 2022. Constantine will be laid to rest at the George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus NJ.
