Deanna Nelson

Deanna Nelson passed away on Saturday, April 11th, 2026. She was born in New
York, N.Y., and lived and raised her family in Wyckoff, N.J., over the last 50 years.

Prior to retiring, Deanna worked as a medical transcriptionist, but what she cherished
most was raising and caring for her beautiful family.

Beloved wife of the late Norman Nelson, Deanna is survived by her three loving
children, Scott and his wife, Patricia, Lori and her husband Charlie, and Cathy and her
husband Michael.

Cherished grandmother of Gabriella and her husband Charlie, Juliana, Alexander,
Michael, and Leah. She is also survived by her sister in law, Patricia and many nieces
and nephews. She was predeceased by her son John, and her sister Doris.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 16th, from 7 to 9 pm at the Vander
Plaat Funeral Home, www.vpfh.com, 257 Godwin Ave, Wyckoff, NJ. A service will be
held at the funeral home on Friday, April 17th, at 10 am, with a burial to follow at
George Washington Memorial Park.
