Elaine Hagal

Elaine Hagal, age 84 of Franklin Lakes, NJ, earned her eternal reward in heaven on Friday, April 28, 2023, surrounded by her loving family.  She was born in West New York, NJ grew up in Teaneck, NJ and has been a resident of Franklin Lakes for more than 40 years.  Elaine was a parishioner of St. Elizabeth’s RC Church.  Elaine held the most rewarding position in life as a wife and mother to her three children and later in life, being a wonderful grandmother to her six grandchildren. 

Elaine is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, George Hagal III, her sons, David Hagal and his wife, Sally and George Hagal IV, her daughter, Lisa Shulman and her husband, Steven and her six grandchildren, George Hagal V, Mellissa Mangione and her husband, Joe, Matthew Shulman, Daniel Shulman, Mya Hagal and Olivia Hagal.  She is also survived by her sister, Ellen Bird, a brother Robert Pommerencke and his companion, Miriam Moore and her sister-in-law, Erin Pommerencke.  Elaine was predeceased by her parents Charles and Dorothy Pommerenke and a brother, Richard Pommerencke.

In honoring and keeping with Elaine’s wishes, all services were private.
