Evelyn Huber

Evelyn Huber (nee Walker), 94, of Wyckoff, NJ, passed away at her home on November 15, 2023.

Born in Massachusetts on September 1, 1929, Evelyn was a New Jersey resident for most of her life. She grew up in Passaic, NJ, then later lived in Hackensack, Oradell, Midland Park, and most recently in Wyckoff. Evelyn was predeceased by her parents, William and Catherine Walker, and her husband Willard Huber. She is survived by her daughter Nancy Huber, son David Huber and wife Ellen, sister Muriel Brummer, and grandchildren Jessica Huber, Derek Huber, and wife Tiffany.

Evelyn was a prolific reader who loved travel, music, cooking, and learning at every opportunity. She was an active member of the community, singing in the church choir and teaching ESL for many years as a volunteer. 

Funeral services for Evelyn will be held at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home in Wyckoff, NJ on Monday, November 20, 2023, at 9:00 am. Interment will follow at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus, NJ.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests those who wish to express sympathy to consider making a donation to a charity of their choice in Evelyn’s memory.
