Gary W. Geresi, 62, of Butler, died on Monday, April 25, 2022. Gary was born in Hackensack and lived in Wyckoff until he got married. He then moved to Oakland where he started his family. Gary ultimately moved to Butler in 2001, where he continued to support his favorite football team, The Dallas Cowboys. He played and managed the local Oakland softball league for multiple decades in addition to attending many concerts with friends over the years, and coached his children through both sports and life.
He followed various career paths over the years, which mostly included the field of finance, and eventually led to his true passion in life: owning and operating Assisting Hands of Wayne. Gary formed deep personal connections with each and everyone of his clients on a professional level. He will be greatly missed by his clients, aides, and staff.
Gary is survived by his children Danielle and Christopher Geresi, as well as his sister, Linda G. Tamar. He was predeceased by parents Louis and Alice Geresi, his sister Gail, and brother-in-law, Chip Tamar.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, April 28th, at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, www.vpfh.com. The address is 257 Godwin Ave. in Wyckoff, NJ.
A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, April 29th, at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home.
Interment will follow at St. Nicholas Cemetery in Lodi.
