George Shepperd Obituary

George (Bud) Fenwick Shepperd passed away on October 6, 2022 at the age of 70 surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.
Bud was born on June 16, 1952 in Bryn Mawr, PA and moved to Ridgewood, NJ at the age of two with his late parents Fenwick and Dolores Shepperd and brothers Hambleton (Tad) and Michael Shepperd. Bud resided in Wyckoff, NJ with his wife Carol (Tenney) Shepperd and children Christine (Shepperd) Fox husband James, Timothy Shepperd wife Shannon and Megan Shepperd wife Alana along with six grandchildren Brennan, Brody, Shane, Sienna, Hudson and Reid.  Bud was a loving and devoted husband, father, son, grandfather, uncle, colleague and friend.

Bud attended Ridgewood Highschool where he met his wife Carol of 47 years.  He enjoyed playing hockey and running with his dogs.  His favorite getaway was traveling to Aruba with his family and spending his summers at the shore where he and carol built a beautiful home together in Normandy Beach, NJ. He spent most of his childhood playing golf at The Ridgewood Country Club where he fell in love with the game.  Later Bud enjoyed playing golf with his friends and family, especially his son TJ, brothers Tad and Michael and competing in The Annual Fenwick Open in honor of his father. His favorite weekend was The Masters competition when he gathered the entire family to watch together.

Bud spent his 45 year career working in sales with Tri-Dim Filter company, a wonderful family-owned business who treated Bud as a valued member of their family.  Bud took great pride in his job and accomplishments and cherished all of his friendships he made while working there. Bud was an active member in the town of Wyckoff.  He served on the Wyckoff Planning Board, Wyckoff/Midland Park Rotary, and on The Planning Committee of Wyckoff the Community Park.  He also dedicated countless hours coaching his children in several sports.
Bud was always the life of the party and never let a glass go half empty.  He loved a Sunday Funday with family and friends while watching football and golf.  He will be remembered as a devoted family man, loyal friend and gentleman.  His smile and generous heart will be deeply missed.
