Gregg Alan Middleton, of Ridgewood, New Jersey, born May 30, 1955, passed away peacefully on March 24, 2026. He was the beloved son of Margaret and Charles Middleton of Fort Worth, Texas, both of whom preceded him in death.
Gregg was a loving husband to his wife, Heather Middleton, and a devoted father to his children, Michael Middleton (Jessica) and Lindsay Middleton. He took great pride in his family and cherished the time spent with them.
He is also survived by his brother, Eric Middleton (Carol), along with many cherished nephews, nieces, and cousins. Gregg is lovingly remembered by his mother-in-law, Sandy Nelson, and father-in-law, Ed Nelson, of Greenwich, Connecticut.
As a child, Gregg earned the rank of Eagle Scout, a testament to his early commitment to integrity, leadership, and service. He was a graduate of the University of Missouri in Columbia and began his career as a Certified Public Accountant with Ernst & Young before transitioning into the commercial real estate financial advisory field, where he continued to make a lasting impact through his expertise and dedication.
An avid sports fan, Gregg was a loyal supporter of the Dallas Cowboys and the New York Jets, and he also proudly cheered for the University of Michigan, especially celebrating his daughter Lindsay’s completion of the nursing program there.
He will be remembered for his hard work, integrity, and the deep love he had for his family. He will be greatly missed by his many friends and extended family, as well as all who knew and loved him.
Visiting hours are 4:00 to 6:00pm on Friday, March 27 at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, 257 Godwin Ave., Wyckoff, NJ 07481. Funeral services will be held privately.
