Before moving to Midland Park, NJ, 65 years ago, he served as a Corporal in the US Army during WWII in Europe. In 2016, he was very proud to be given the honor of serving as Grand Marshall in the Midland Park Memorial Day Parade. He took great pride in being a veteran. While working in the post office, he became interested in his lifetime hobby of stamp collecting.
