Jim passed on May 24th, 2022 after a long and courageous battle. A beloved husband, father, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, cousin & friend—he will be deeply missed by all that were blessed to have known him.
Jim had many hobbies throughout his life, and was particularly fond of fly fishing. He served as Treasurer for Joan Wulff Fly Fishers and was a member of Trout Unlimited for many years, spending countless hours enjoying the rivers and streams from his home state of New Jersey, as well as in Pennsylvania, New York, Montana, and Alaska. Jim was a Human Resource Executive for his entire career, and was honored to serve in many positions with SHRM Gateway, and as its President for nearly 20 years. In the latter years of his career, he took time to teach HR courses as an adjunct professor, giving back to the HR professional community through education.
Jim was proud of many things in his life, from his early years in the Marine Corps, to his storied career as an HR executive, but he looked most fondly on the wonderful relationships he developed and maintained with those he worked with, fished with, and most importantly with his loving family. He was a truly beautiful being of warmth, compassion, and humor, and his legacy will live on in the innumerable lives he touched.
Internment will be private, so please take a moment to recall fond memories of Jim and celebrate the life of an incredible man. In lieu of flowers, Jim’s family requests you consider donating to the charity of your choice in his name, or that you do an act of kindness, paying it forward in his honor.
