A much-loved husband, father, grandfather, son, and brother, James DiMauro, 78, of Wyckoff, New Jersey passed away while on vacation in Florida on March 15, 2025. He was born April 14, 1946 and lived much of his early life in Elmwood Park, New Jersey.
Jim was a hall of fame athlete that played football and wrestled in high school. Later, he went on to study and wrestle at Fairleigh Dickinson University graduating in 1968 where he received a BS and an MBA in finance. After graduating, Jim served in the Army Medical Reserves for 6 years in New York City. Following his time served, Jim worked for several companies including Paper Corporation of the United States, Colgate Palmolive, Warner Lambert, and Strategic Paper Group while working his way up to CFO for a majority of his career. During his busy career, he also volunteered much of his time to coach kids in wrestling in both Elmwood Park and Wyckoff Recreation programs.
After retiring from a long hard working career, Jim took up the game of golf and enjoyed playing ever since with family and friends at courses all over the country. He also enjoyed relaxing at the beach house with a glass of wine while the grandchildren played which brought a smile to his face.
Jim is survived by his loving wife, Tanya of 54 years, his son Billy and his wife Ashley, his daughter Kelly and her husband Kyle, and 3 grandchildren, Ryan, Avery and Carter.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 20, 2025 at Vander Plaat Funeral Home in Wyckoff from 5:00 - 8:00 pm.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am Friday, March 21 at St. Paul RC Church in Ramsey followed by a private burial at George Washington Memorial Park.
