James Piazza, 55, of Upper Saddle River, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 17, 2025.
Born in Ridgewood, NJ, James grew up in Upper Saddle River, where he later raised his four children with their mother, Malissa.
James had a passion for fishing and cooking. He also was a longtime soccer coach for his children. However, most importantly, James was a lover of life. He will be remembered by his strong spirit, charming smile and infectious laugh that always lit up a room.
As a devoted, protective and loving father, James is survived by his children: Emma, Chloe Thomas and Dylan and his wife Malissa.
As a bold and fun-loving brother, James is survived by his brother Chris and his wife Diane; his sister Margaret and her husband Wes; his sister Gina; and his sister Dana. They will always remember him as a best friend.
As a selfless, loving and exuberant son James is survived by his mother Margaret.
He was predeceased by his father, Thomas, with whom he shared a love of fishing and the beach.
To those who knew him, James’s life was defined by his generosity, hard work, love for family and friends, and commitment to living life to the fullest. His big heart and laughter will be missed for eternity.
