James Van Wyckhouse, Jr., 68, of Franklin Lakes, passed away on Wednesday, June 9, 2021. Born in Midland Park, he lived in Waldwick before moving to Franklin Lakes in 1999.
Jim owned and operated Van Wyckhouse Tree Service for 25 years before going on to work for his son at Top Notch Tree and Excavating for 10 years before retiring in 2016.
Jim is survived by his long time partner Deborah A Laggner, his son James Van Wyckhouse III and his fiance’ Ingrid Mota, and his grandchildren: Summer Ann, and Danica Van Wyckhouse. He is also survived by his siblings: Henriette Lutz, Margaret Fylstra, Jentien Nywening, Carol Flystra, and Beth Mark.
Jim was predeceased by his daughter Rachael Van Wyckhouse-Harris in 2013 and his brother Glenn Van Wyckhouse in 2021.
The family will receive friends on from 2 to 6 pm on Sunday at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, www.vpfh.com, 257 Godwin Ave. Wyckoff, NJ.
A Graveside Service will be at 10:00am on Monday at the Fair Lawn Memorial Cemetery.
