Jane Rinderknecht, of Wyckoff, New Jersey, passed away peacefully surrounded
by loved ones on Thursday, February 13, 2025, at the age of 84.
Born on February 28, 1940 in Victor, Iowa, to Clarence and Viola Weiss, Jane
was one of five children, including her twin sister, Joan, brothers Donald and
Maynard, and sister Darlene. She attended Deep River High School, graduating
in 1958.
Jane pursued a career in cosmetology and worked as a talented beautician for
many years. She had a deep appreciation for fashion and always dressed with
style. She carefully curated her outfits and accented them with thoughtfully
chosen accessories and her signature Pompeii Purple manicured nails.
Jane also had a passion for making her home beautiful inside and out
and was a skilled homemaker. She loved to make candles, create vibrant flower
arrangements, and took great pride in maintaining a flourishing garden.
Jane and her husband, David, shared a love of travel and new experiences, particularly
appreciating trips to the Outer Banks, and cruises to the islands.
Receiving two kidney transplants over 37 years, Jane faced life’s challenges with
remarkable strength and faith. She was a fierce advocate for her health, meeting
every obstacle with resilience.
Jane is survived by her beloved husband of 57 years, David; her children,
Michael Rinderknecht and his wife, Michelle, of Wyckoff, New Jersey, and
Kimberly Miklandric and her husband, Stephen, of Asheboro, North Carolina.
She was a devoted grandmother to Lindsey, Katelin, and Jack Rinderknecht, and
Joshua and Shannon Miklandric. Jane also leaves behind 8 nieces and
nephews. She is predeceased by her brother Donald, her sister Darlene, and her
niece Pam.
The family invites friends and loved ones to a visitation and service at St. John’s
Lutheran Church in Victor, Iowa on Saturday, February 22 at 10 a.m., with burial
to follow at St. John’s Cemetery.
A memorial service honoring Jane’s life is scheduled to be held on March 8,2025
at 11 a.m., at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Ridgewood, NJ where Jane was a devoted parishioner.
In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations in Jane’s memory to UNOS
(United Network for Organ Sharing) or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
