Jane Spittler

Jane J. Spittler, 99, of Oakland, passed away on Sunday, September 25, 2022.  Born in Paterson, she grew up and lived in Fair Lawn before retiring to East Stroudsburg, PA 38 years ago.

She was a microfilmer for Curtiss-Wright in Wood-Ridge until she retired.  She was a member of the former 1st Christian Reformed Church in Haledon before moving to Pennsylvania.  She enjoyed sewing and knitting, especially making her own clothing.  She also enjoyed traveling especially to Aruba, and also enjoyed golfing.

Jane is survived by her nephews Douglas Steyling, Dean (Debra) Steyling, David (Mary Jane) Tanis, and her nieces Ruth (Garland) DeHoog, Jane Sokol and Nancy Tanis.

She was predeceased by her sisters Ruth Steyling and Mildred Tanis and her nephew Fred Tanis.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 am on Tuesday, October 4 with a service at 11:00 am at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home,  www.vpfh.com, 257 Godwin Ave. Wyckoff, NJ. 

Entombment will follow at the Fair Lawn Memorial Cemetery.
