Jawahar Lal Ticku

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father, Mr. Jawahar Lal Ticku, who lived a long and happy life of nearly 88 years.

He was a retired engineer after concluding a great 38 year career at Fermilab outside of Chicago, IL. As one of the early employees of Fermilab, he was closely involved in developing electronics used in high energy particle physics, for which Fermilab became internationally renowned.

He was the cherished son of the late Mahishwar Nath Ticku and Tarawati Pandita; beloved son-in-law of the late Dinanath Vass and Leelavati Dalal; and the devoted, ever-loving husband of the late Prem Vass. He was preceded in death by his sister, Dulari, and his brothers, Moti Lal, Autar Krishan, and Rattan Lal. His memory will be cherished by his surviving brothers, Bansi Lal and Sham Lal, and his sister, Indira, alongside his brothers and sisters-in-law, Gauri, Bimla, Sarita, Santosh, Shibban, and the late Krishna.

Devoted father of sons Arun Tikoo (Winter Springs FL), Dr. Ravinder Tikoo, M.D. (Paramus NJ), Dileep Ticku (Raleigh NC) and Dr. Jonathan Ticku, M.D. (Orlando FL), loving father-in-law of So Young, Dr. Chithra, M.D., Hillary, and Jessica.

Cherished grandfather to thirteen grandchildren, Maya, Hudson, Teresa, Dhanesh, Anya, Kiran, Jonathan James, Noah, Jay, Rishi, Daniel, Michael, and Asher.

Visitation will be on Wednesday evening, July 29, 4pm to 8pm, at Vander Plaat Funeral Home, 257 Godwin Ave, Wyckoff, NJ 07481

Funeral service will be held on Thursday morning, July 30,9am to 12 noon, at Vander Plaat Funeral Home, followed by a Cremation at Rosedale Cemetery (408 Orange Road, Montclair, NJ).

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.
