Jean Marie Ringley, of Saddle River, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 16th, 2024, at the age of 85.
Jeannie was predeceased by her husband of 30 years: Edward Ringley; her father and mother, Silvio and Barbara Trotta; and her brother, Joseph Trotta.
She is survived by her nephews, David Trotta and his wife Kendra of Langhorne, PA, and Brian Trotta and his wife Trisha of Myrtle Beach, SC; great-nieces and nephews: Kaiden, Joseph, Gabriella and Connor; sister-in-law: Nancy Trotta; as well as many cousins.
Born in Paterson, New Jersey, Jean lived throughout North Jersey, residing in Wayne, Hawthorne, Cedar Grove, and finally, Saddle River. In her early twenties, she worked as a secretary for BER Plastics, Inc. For the past 16 years, Jeannie found joy as "The Snack Lady" at Julia A. Traphagen Elementary School, where she shared countless stories about the children whose smiles brightened her day.
Jeannie was deeply devoted to her family and friends. Her selfless nature shone through in the many ways she cared for those around her, whether it was driving them to appointments, visiting them in the hospital, or sending countless greeting cards to mark every holiday and life event.
Jeannie had a variety of interests. She was an exceptional baker, famous for her cookies, which she lovingly made for friends and family. She was also an avid golfer, enjoying many hours at the Upper Montclair Country Club.
A visitation will be held at Vander Plaat Funeral Home in Wyckoff, NJ, on Sunday, September 22nd, from 3 to 6 p.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated at Guardian Angel Church in Allendale, NJ, on Monday, September 23rd, at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Totowa, NJ.
