Joan Marie Schultz

Joan Marie Schultz, (nee Costello), 81 of Waldwick, NJ, passed away peacefully on March 4, 2025, surrounded by her loving children. 

Joan was born and raised in The Bronx before she moved to Waldwick, NJ, where she raised her family and spent the majority of her life. 

Joan had an infectious love for life. She spent her time playing bridge, singing Patsy Cline, gardening, Dancing the Salsa, and laughing with all of those whom she loved. She was also her children and grandchildren’s biggest fan! You could always find her at a game or show cheering them on.

Joan was predeceased by her loving husband Eugene and her two siblings, John, and Pat. 

She is survived by her two sisters, Evelyn and Janet, her four children, Eugene (Karen), John, Kevin, and Megan (Eric), and her ten grandchildren, Brooke, Kyle, Connor, Jordan, Austin, Taylor, Riley, Ashley, Abbey, and Gino. She is also survived by many in-laws, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends who loved her dearly. 

The family will receive friends on Monday, March 10th, from 4:00 - 8:00pm at Vander Plaat Funeral Home in Wyckoff, NJ, and a Funeral Mass will be held at St. Luke’s Roman Catholic Church, in Ho-Ho-Kus, NJ on Tuesday, March 11th at 10am.
