John Foerch Obituary

With deep sorrow and heavy hearts, we mourn the loss and celebrate the life of John Salvatore Foerch, who passed away peacefully on April 14, 2026.

Born on November 15, 1947, John was the beloved son of Mary Grace (Corio) Foerch and John Paul Foerch. He graduated from Don Bosco Preparatory High School, earned his undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering from Newark College of Engineering (NJIT), and later received his MBA from Fairleigh Dickinson University. He began his career as an engineer before transitioning into the technology sector, where he ultimately retired as a Key Account Director at Oracle Corporation.

John married the love of his life, Toni Lee Foerch, on February 14, 1976. Together they shared 50 years of unwavering love, partnership, and friendship. Their life together was filled with laughter, warmth, and deep devotion.

He was a proud and devoted father to John Anthony Foerch, Christopher Paul Foerch, and Christina Marie Youardhan, and a loving father-in-law to Summer, Angie, and Stefan. John was a gentle and caring soul, and he especially treasured being “Boomba” and “Pa” to his grandchildren—Jack, Tierney, Reilly, Keegan, Emma, and Quinn—who filled his life with laughter, joy, and countless proud moments as he cheered them on as their number one fan at sporting events. He also held a special place in his heart for the Corio family, cherishing every moment spent with his beloved cousins, nieces, nephews, and their children. He especially loved gathering with family over Italian meals, where laughter and togetherness were always at the center.

A devoted member of his church, John lived his faith daily and committed his life to Christ. Known for his kindness and generosity, he was always eager to lend a helping hand or offer support to anyone in need. John found deep joy in life’s simple pleasures-golfing, reading, listening to classical music, playing the piano, his Mom's lemon cake, rooting for the New York Yankees and Jets, and sharing his signature Dad jokes throughout the day. He also enjoyed traveling, especially to see family in Sicily, and loved visiting churches wherever his travels brought him. Above all, he treasured time with his family and devoted his life to those he loved most.

John will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

The family will receive visitors on Monday, April 20, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Vander Plaat Funeral Home, located at 257 Godwin Avenue, Wyckoff, NJ 07481.
