John Francis Krysa (63) of Allendale New Jersey passed away on July 4, 2026. John was born in Washington DC on July 15, 1962. John spent the first five years of his life living in Oxon Hill, Maryland, then two years in Margate, New Jersey, then two years in Cranford, New Jersey.
Ultimately settling in Allendale, New Jersey. John was a parishioner and supporter of the Church of the Nativity, Midland Park, New Jersey.
John is survived by his brother Paul and his wife Paola, sister-in-law Cathy, his handsome nephew Brandon, his four beautiful nieces Megan, Felicia and her husband Michael, Sarah and her husband Ryan and Natalie. Also, his two beautiful great nieces, Madison and Myra.
John was the youngest of five children. John was predeceased by his father Fred E. Krysa Sr., mother Helen V. Krysa, sister Maryanne (Krysa) O’Neill, sister Jean Marie Krysa and brother Fred Eugene Krysa Jr.
John completed culinary classes at Bergen Community College and worked as a chef. He went on to owning a landscaping business and then a painting business. John spent the later years of his life taking care of his mother on a full-time basis.
The family will receive friends on Monday, July 20th from 9:00AM to 11:00AM at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, 257 Godwin Avenue, Wyckoff, New Jersey.
A funeral service will be celebrated on the same day at 11:30AM mass at the Church of the Nativity, 315 Prospect Street, Midland Park, New Jersey. Interment will follow at Maryrest Cemetery, Mahwah, New Jersey.
