John Miller

John Miller, age 87 of Allendale, formerly of Midland Park, died peacefully surrounded by his family on Friday, May 5, 2023. John was born and raised in Midland Park and lived there until moving to Allendale 10 years ago. His career was spent with E. Oostdyk Inc., a transportation company in Elmwood Park where he was a tractor trailer driver for 31 years before his retirement in 1993. He was a member of Local 560 of the Teamsters Union and the Midland Park Christian Reformed Church.

Surviving is his loving wife of 68 years, Jennie (nee Faber), his devoted children, John and his wife Rita, JoAnn and her husband Vincent Conforti, Jim and his wife Nancy, Jeff and his wife Donna and Janet Warnet. John was also a caring grandfather to Bryan (Megan), Carl (Stephanie), Dana, Liza, Allison (Ryan), Daniel, Billy (Tara), Amanda (Will), Chad, Justin, Jacob and Ryan and great grandchildren, Ava, Scarlett, Benjamin, Nate, Hartley, Natalie and Jackson. John leaves his brother-in-law, Glenn Kuyper and sister-in-law, Mildred Miller. He was pre-deceased by siblings, William, Frank, George, Agnes Kuyper and Beatrice Minkema.

The Miller family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 9, 4:00 until 8:00 PM at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, 257 Godwin Avenue, Wyckoff. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home Wednesday 10:30 AM. Interment will follow at the Wyckoff Reformed Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Midland Park Volunteer Ambulance Corps., 471 Godwin Avenue, Midland Park, NJ 07432 or the Midland Park Volunteer Fire Dept., 45 Witte Drive, Midland Park, NJ 07432.
