John loved spending time with his family, hiking, and woodworking. He was an Eagle Scout who encouraged his son John and grandsons in Scouting and avidly followed his grandsons’ involvement in Scouting. He devoted many summers to bringing both his children, and later with his wife Fran, his grandchildren to the Adirondacks. He felt closest to God when he was in the Adirondack woods.
In retirement John filled his days spending time with family, hiking with friends, woodworking, traveling with his wife Fran, and going to church with his family. John lived a full and happy life; he will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
