John B Sanowski

John B. Sanowski age 60 passed away on Wednesday May 12, 2021.  John is survived by Geri and their three beautiful children, Julia, Justin and Jonathan.  John is the son of Eileen Sanowski and the late John W. Sanowski of Newburgh, NY; Brother of: Doreen Schreek and her husband Don; Patti Shermerhorn and her late husband Colin;  Eileen Bowman and her husband John.  John was an Uncle, a cousin and dear friend to many.  John grew up in Pearl River NY then moved to Glen Rock and later Mahwah. John earned a Bachelor Degree from St. Thomas Aquinas College and did graduate work at Iona College.  John started his career in Telecom at NYNEX Mobile he went on to work for UPS Corporate, Warburg Pincus, CS Technologies and finally IPC Technologies where he found his second family.  John loved his job and the people he worked with. If John was not spending time with his kids or family you would find him listening to Jazz music, playing one of his guitars, eating a good meal or at the beach.  John's children are blessed with his gentleness, love of music and passion for politics.  He will be missed by all  who had the honor of knowing him and  is forever in our hearts. A visitation will be on Sunday, May 16, 2021 from 2-6pm at Vander Plaat Funeral Home of Wyckoff, www.vpfh.com. A funeral mass will be at St. Catharine's Church, Glen Rock on Monday, May 17, 10:30am with a burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery, New Windsor, NY.
